Description : Follow up on orders, verifies availability and delivery dates, and prioritizes, schedules, and expedites delivery of materials to meet target dates. Always develop new buying markets/suppliers, ensure direct buying is done. Maintaining competitive pricing, with continuous tracking of any deviation. Communication / Negotiation with supplier and participate in Negotiating agreements. Ensure Supply Stability, prevent excessive inventory stock, and avoid stock shortages. Prepares weekly and monthly vendor reports detailing vendor performance, reliability, pricing, responsiveness, and quality. Analysis and reports purchase price variances to ensure adherence of vendors to contractual obligations. Maintain up to date supply base information database. Participating in yearly cost reductions activities.
Qualifications : • Minimum of 4 years university degree • Minimum Purchasing experience of Three (3) to Five(5) in printed packaging components in Flexible material, cartons, plastics and Duplex boxes, preferably in baking/Food industry. • Demonstrating leadership, driving change and continuous improvement. • High- good - mathematical and analytical skills • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills & presentation skills • Comfortable dealing with peers and suppliers at all levels • Good negotiation acumen • Global mindset, used to multicultural and multifunctional teams • A high knowledge of MRP systems is a must. • CIPS qualified preferred • Ability to multitask and excel in a fast paced environment.
